Programme Overview
The training programme equips successful candidates with:
- Academic knowledge through structured coursework at accredited nursing colleges.
- Clinical experience in public hospitals, clinics, and community health centres.
- Professional guidance and mentorship from experienced healthcare practitioners.
Upon completion, graduates will receive a recognized nursing qualification and be eligible for full-time employment in the Department of Health.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following academic and general criteria:
Academic Requirements
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Required subjects:
- Life Sciences (Biology)
- Physical Science
- Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
- English (at least Level 4)
General Requirements
- South African citizen with a valid ID
- Aged between 18 – 35 years
- Proof of residence in the North West Province
- Medically fit with good character
