About the Learnership
Through its Enterprise and Rural Development Division, Mogale City is offering 25 learnership opportunities in Plant Production (NQF Level 3, ID 49052).
This programme aims to equip young people with practical and theoretical skills in agriculture, tourism, environmental studies, and horticulture. The initiative forms part of the Municipality’s ongoing efforts to promote youth empowerment, local economic growth, and social inclusion in line with the Employment Equity Act 55 of 1998.
Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged and disabled persons residing within the Mogale City Local Municipality.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification with Mathematics (Pure Maths or Maths Literacy).
- Unemployed and aged between 18 and 35 years.
- Must reside within the Mogale City Local Municipality (proof required).
- No criminal record.
- Must not be participating in another SETA programme or receiving NSFAS funding.
- Applicants with N6 qualifications should not apply.
- Must be a South African citizen.
Learnership Qualification (Advantageous)

- Plant Production Learnership (NQF Level 3, ID 49052)
