uMngeni-uThukela Water (UUW) is inviting suitably qualified, unemployed youth—under the age of 35 and residing in KwaZulu-Natal—to apply for its 36-month Graduate Training Programme. This opportunity is structured to provide practical workplace experience and professional exposure aligned with academic qualifications. It is designed to help young graduates develop strong industry-aligned skills while contributing to service excellence in the water sector.
Preference will be given to applicants who permanently reside within local municipalities covered by UUW operational areas, supporting community upliftment and improved access to career development.

Graduate Trainee (Chemistry)
- Number of Trainees Required: 2
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor of Science in Chemistry
- Location: Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal

- Duration: 36 Months (3 Years)

Programme Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A relevant qualification obtained from a Council on Higher Education (CHE) accredited institution
- Must be South African citizens residing in KwaZulu-Natal
- Preference for permanent residents of identified local municipalities within UUW operational areas
- Must be unemployed youth under the age of 35
- Applicants who previously participated in an Internship or Graduate Training Programme will not be considered
