About the Civil Engineering Bursary
The Power Construction Civil Engineering Bursary supports students who demonstrate academic potential, leadership qualities, and a strong interest in civil construction. Successful bursary recipients will be required to sign a bursary agreement and work for Power Construction for an agreed period after completing their studies.
This bursary is ideal for students who want to combine academic learning with real-world construction exposure.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be currently studying towards a BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering at an accredited institution
- Show a strong interest in building a career in a civil construction company
- Demonstrate high problem-solving ability
- Have advanced computer literacy, especially Microsoft Excel
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Be able to work independently and take initiative
- Show leadership potential
- Be willing to work and/or travel to outlying project areas
Added Advantages
The following will be an advantage:
- Code 08 driver’s licence
- Ability to speak another South African official language
