Transnet Work Integrated Learning Programme 2026 / 2027
Transnet is offering an 18-month Work Integrated Learning Programme aimed at students and recent TVET graduates who need practical workplace experience.
The programme is intended to help participants apply their academic knowledge in a real working environment while developing practical, administrative and professional skills.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Matric or equivalent.
- Completed all theoretical subjects from N4 to N6 in Office Management, Management Assistant or Business Management at a TVET College.
- South African citizenship.
- Age between 18 and 35 years.
- No bursary obligation with another company.
- Most recent confirmation letter from the institution.
- Certified Matric certificate.
- Academic record.
- Certified ID copy.
Preference will be given to persons with disabilities.
What Participants Will Do
Successful candidates will support different departments or work streams while gaining practical workplace experience.
Typical duties may include assisting with projects, carrying out routine operational tasks under supervision, supporting administration, documentation and reporting, and participating in training and mentorship activities.
Participants may also assist with research, data collection, analysis, presentations and process improvement initiatives.
Learning and Development
The programme provides exposure to practical workplace learning through structured activities, workshops and mentorship.
Participants may shadow experienced employees, develop analytical and problem-solving skills and gain a better understanding of how Transnet operates.
Skills and Competencies
Transnet is looking for candidates with good written and verbal communication skills, basic computer literacy, teamwork ability and problem-solving skills.
Applicants should also demonstrate attention to detail, willingness to learn and good interpersonal skills.
