SASSA is recruiting a Senior Grant Administrator at Level 07 for the Molemole Local Office in the Capricorn District.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have a Senior Certificate together with an undergraduate qualification at NQF Level 6, recognised by SAQA, in one of the following fields:

Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, Finance, Accounting, Social Sciences or Social Security.

Candidates must also have:

Three years’ experience in Social Security

Computer literacy

and

A valid driver’s licence

Key Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for quality assurance and checking the completeness of supporting documents submitted with grant applications.

The role also includes verifying grant applications, means test requirements and related declarations, as well as approving or rejecting applications for different grant types.

The incumbent will also support processes relating to beneficiary maintenance, medical assessment bookings, customer care and off-site services.

Other responsibilities include overseeing the administration of social grant processes, advising on policies and processes within the grant application value chain, managing staff performance and resources, and ensuring compliance with Section 57 of the Public Finance Management Act.

Technical Competencies

Applicants should have sound knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, standards and norms relating to the Social Assistance Grant application process and the broader grants value chain.
