About the Fermel Millwright Apprenticeship Programme 2026

Fermel (Pty) Ltd, a leading manufacturer of underground trackless mining equipment, is offering 8 Millwright Apprenticeship opportunities within its Production Department in Germiston.

This structured apprenticeship programme provides:

  • Practical workplace training
  • Technical skills development
  • Preparation for a Trade Test
  • Qualification as a Trade-Tested Millwright

This opportunity is ideal for candidates who have a strong interest in engineering and manufacturing and are eager to gain hands-on industry experience.


Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the Fermel Millwright Apprenticeship, applicants must have:

  • Certified copy of South African Identity Document
  • Certified copy of highest qualification (clearly visible)
  • Proof of residence
  • Mathematics and Physical Science at Matric level
  • Engineering Studies N3, N4, or N6 OR NCV Level 3 or 4 in a relevant engineering field
  • Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn

Stipend

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of:

R3,500.00 per month
(Paid until completion of the Trade Test)
