Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have a qualification at NQF Level 6 recognised by SAQA in one of the following fields:
Law.
Public Management.
Public Administration.
Policing.
Criminology.
Forensics.
Criminal Justice.
Applicants must have 2 yearsโ experience in a law enforcement environment.
Applicants must have a valid driverโs licence, Code C1 or Code C, also known as Code 10.
Applicants must have a valid Public Driver Permit.

Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will provide effective law enforcement and monitor investigations of illegal foreigners according to the Immigration Act.
They will supervise, administer and enforce the detection, tracing, arrest and detention of illegal foreigners within South Africa.
They will also assist with investigations involving smuggling of migrants, human trafficking and illegal mass production of enabling documents.
These documents may include birth certificates, travel documents, permits, visas, identity documents and face value documents.
Immigration Enforcement Duties
Successful candidates will assist in dealing with illegal migration facilitated by corruption and other high-profile cases.
They will appear and testify in court proceedings, both criminal and civil, as well as disciplinary enquiries on behalf of the Department.
They will monitor the deportation process of illegal foreigners to their countries of origin.
They will also implement inspections in loco and assist in creating a climate that discourages illegal migration.
Stakeholder and Operational Duties
Successful candidates will monitor the influx of foreigners residing in South Africa and ensure that they have legal documentation.
They will liaise with law enforcement agencies and other relevant institutions to verify the identity of foreigners who contravene applicable legislation.
They will assist in crime combating operations with other law enforcement agencies.
They will also participate in security cluster forums and case flow management meetings.
Reporting and Resource Management
Successful candidates will prepare reports and statistics as directed.
They will operate, maintain and safeguard assigned heavy-duty vehicles and designated tools of trade.
They will ensure the implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
They will maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
They will also manage human, physical and financial resources within the unit and guide staff on compliance with regulatory requirements.
