Amandla Omoya Trust Bursary Programme 2027
The Amandla Omoya Trust is offering bursary funding to students from communities surrounding the Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm in the Eastern Cape.
The bursary is open to students studying or planning to study in any field, provided the programme is at least at NQF Level 6.
This includes university degrees, national diplomas and qualifying technical or vocational programmes.

Academic performance

Applicants must therefore provide sufficient academic and household financial information during the application process.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be South African citizens and must reside within 50km of the Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm.
Candidates must either be currently in Matric or have already completed Matric.
Applicants must be studying or intending to study towards a Degree, National Diploma or qualifying NQF Level 6 technical and vocational programme.
They must also have been accepted to study at a recognised public or private South African tertiary education or training institution, including a university, university of technology or TVET college.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
Required Supporting Documents
Applicants must submit clear copies of the required supporting documents, including:
- Certified copy of South African ID.
- Certified latest Matric results or Matric certificate.
- Certified latest academic results if already studying.
- Proof of acceptance from the institution on an official letterhead.
- Proof of residential address.
- Proof of parents’ or guardians’ household income.
Acceptable household income documents may include recent payslips, an affidavit where a parent or guardian is unemployed, or proof of pension or SASSA grant where applicable.
