GIBB Civil Engineering YES Programme 2026
GIBB Group of Companies is offering a Youth Employment Service (YES) placement within its Dams and Hydro delivery unit in Johannesburg.
The programme is aimed at young South Africans who want to gain meaningful workplace experience, develop practical skills and improve their chances of securing long-term employment.
Successful candidates will be placed at GIBB’s Johannesburg offices.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 or equivalent with Mathematics, Science and English.
- BTech or BSc in Civil Engineering.
Additional Requirements
Applicants should also meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen and born in South Africa.
- Be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Be unemployed.
- Be available for a 12-month fixed-term contract.
- Not have participated in a previous YES Programme.
- Be computer literate.
- Be willing to learn new skills related to Civil Engineering.
- Be responsible and honest.

The Youth Employment Service Programme is a business-led initiative aimed at reducing youth unemployment by providing young people with practical workplace experience.
The programme helps participants develop new skills, gain exposure to the workplace and improve their employability.
