The following positions are available:
- Kitchen Assistants – 10 posts
- Bartenders – 15 posts
- Ushers – 15 posts
- Waiters / Waitresses – 10 posts
Kitchen Assistants – X10 Posts
Kitchen Assistants will support chefs and help ensure that kitchen operations run efficiently.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Matric.
- 1–2 years’ previous experience as a kitchen assistant in a restaurant kitchen.
A Diploma in Culinary Services will be advantageous.
Duties
Successful applicants will:
- Assist chefs with food orders.
- Help prepare meal ingredients.
- Keep kitchen surfaces and fridges clean and tidy.
- Wash and clean dishes used by patrons.
- Support efficient kitchen operations.
Bartenders – X15 Posts
Bartenders will work within the Front of House environment and assist patrons purchasing drinks, snacks and food.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Matric.
- 1–2 years’ previous experience as a bartender in a restaurant or bar.
A Diploma in Theatre Studies will be advantageous.
Duties
Successful applicants will:
- Assist patrons purchasing drinks, snacks and food.
- Ensure that the bar is correctly cashed up.
- Keep the bar area clean, neat and tidy.
- Provide professional customer service.
Ushers – X15 Posts
Ushers will assist theatre patrons before, during and after performances.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Matric.
- 1–2 years’ previous experience as an usher in a theatre.
A Diploma in Theatre Studies will be advantageous.
Duties
Successful applicants will:
- Direct patrons from parking areas to the foyer.
- Scan tickets.
- Help patrons locate their seats.
- Usher patrons into the theatre.
- Close doors when performances begin.
- Monitor venues during performances.
- Assist during intervals.
- Help patrons navigate the theatre.
- Conduct checks after performances.
- Look for lost property, glasses and rubbish.
Waiters / Waitresses – X10 Posts
Waiters and Waitresses will assist restaurant patrons and help provide a positive guest experience.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Matric.
- 1–2 years’ previous experience as a waiter or waitress in a restaurant.
A Diploma in Hospitality will be advantageous.
Duties
Successful applicants will:
- Seat restaurant patrons.
- Take food and beverage orders.
- Ensure orders reach patrons on time.
- Check that patrons are properly assisted.
- Keep the restaurant floor clean, tidy and neat.

Required vs Advantageous Qualifications
Applicants should note that Matric is the required academic qualification across all four categories.
The additional diplomas are listed as advantageous rather than compulsory.
This means applicants who meet the Matric and relevant experience requirements should not automatically exclude themselves because they do not have the additional diploma.
