About the Learnership
This programme provides hands-on training and theoretical learning to prepare candidates for a career as Chemical Process Operators. Learners will gain experience working with plant equipment and chemicals under the supervision of qualified operators.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Plant Operators with daily operational tasks
- Perform duties as instructed by the Production Team Leader
- Operate plant under supervision and later independently once competent
- Participate in NQF 2 plant operation unit standards training
- Handle packaging (bags, drums, bulk containers) and raw materials
- Perform general housekeeping in plant areas
- Complete production and process documentation accurately
- Work safely in confined spaces and at heights
- Undergo forklift training as required
- Be available for shift work and overtime
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science (Essential)
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office, data entry)
- Age: 18 to 25 years old
- Must be medically fit for working in a chemical plant environment
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced industrial setting
