These positions are in the field of Occupational Health and fall within the Sustainable Development unit. Key Responsibilities: The role of a Professional Nurse in Occupational Health involves a range of responsibilities, including safety and health measures, performance and delivery of tasks, work management, sustainability and social activities, feedback reporting, and more.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing
- BTech or Diploma in Occupational Health Nursing
- Registration with the SA Nursing Council and SASOHN (South African Society of Occupational Health Nursing)
- Certification in Audiometry, Spirometry, and Vision
- Basic Life Support certificate (advantageous)
- At least 2 years of experience as an Occupational Health Nurse in mining or an industrial environment
- Strong administration and record-keeping skills
- Computer literacy
- QMed experience is a plus
- Excellent people skills, writing, and administration skills
- Communication skills and critical thinking
- Willingness and ability to work overtime or be on standby as per operational requirements
- A valid driver’s license and access to own transport
- Certificate of Fitness
