Internship Overview
ASSITEJ South Africa is offering 5 internship opportunities for young people passionate about arts, youth development, and social impact.
This programme is ideal for candidates who want to kick-start their careers while making a difference in the lives of children and young people through the arts.
Available Internship Positions
1. Finance Intern (X1)
📍 Cape Town
- Support financial data management
- Assist with reporting, budgeting, and analysis
2. M&E Data Capturer & Research Interns (X2)
📍 Cape Town (1) & Johannesburg (1)
- Assist with data capturing and M&E systems
- Conduct research and reporting
- Support impact evaluation
3. Administrative Assistant Intern (X1)
📍 Johannesburg
- Provide administrative support
- Assist with filing, data capture, and office management
- Support daily operations and logistics
4. Marketing & Communications Intern (X1)
📍 Johannesburg
- Support marketing and social media activities
- Create content
- Help grow online presence
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be 18 – 34 years old
- Be a South African citizen
- Have Matric (Grade 12 / N4) or higher qualification
- Have a passion for arts and youth development
- Be willing to learn and take initiative
👉 No previous formal employment required
Required Documents

- Updated CV
- Certified copy of South African ID
- Certified copies of qualifications (or academic record if still studying)
- Proof of residence
- Reference letters
- Any relevant certificates or short courses
- Voluntary disclosure (if applicable)
- Proof of DSD Form 30 application/clearance (if required)
Important Compliance Note
- Shortlisted candidates will undergo background and verification checks
- A DSD Form 30 clearance is required for roles involving child-facing work
- Only candidates with valid clearance will be appointed
