Dept of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) invites South African unemployed youth to apply for 24 months Learnership Programme 2024.

Dept of International Relations: Learnership Programme 2023

  • Duration of Programme: 24 (twenty-four) months
  • Commencement date: 1 April 2024
  • End date: 31 March 2026
  • Number of Learners to participate in the programme: 2
  • Stipend: R 7 043.31 per month for National Diploma, Bachelors/Honours Degree & R 8 584.36 per month for Master’s Degree. The Intern will receive a stipend according to the level of qualification obtained.
  • Centre: Pretoria
  • Requirements: Minimum NQF 4 (Matric) / NQF 5 upwards will be beneficial
  • Advantageous qualifications: Records Management, Information Management

IMPORTANT:

  • Only first time Learnership Programme participants will be considered.
  • Successful candidates must be willing to sign an oath of secrecy with the Department.
  • Applicants will be expected to be available for selection and interviews at a predetermined time, date and place. Leaners will be placed within the Department of International Relations and Cooperation at the Head Office in Pretoria. It is, therefore, required that candidates should have their own transport and accommodation.
  • Only South African citizens between the ages of eighteen (18) to thirty-five (35) years old are eligible to apply for the learnership programme.
  • All appointments are subject to the verification of citizenship, reference checks and security vetting.
  • If you are in possession of foreign qualifications, an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) must accompany your application.
  • Failure to submit the required documents/information will result in your application not being considered.
  • No late applications will be considered / accepted.
  • Correspondence will be limited to short-listed candidates only; should you not be contacted within three (3) months after the closing date, please consider your application as unsuccessful.
  • Please note that successful learners will be expected to sign an Learnership Contract/Agreement with the Department.
  • Interviews will be conducted via an online platform.

Note: Candidates who have already participated in an Learnership Programme in any Government Department will not be considered.
