Calling all compassionate hearts and aspiring healthcare professionals! The Eastern Cape Department of Health, in collaboration with Lilitha College of Nursing, proudly announces the commencement of applications for the 2024 intake of the Three-Year Diploma in Nursing Science.
Application closing date: 30 November 2023.
Requirements:
- Academic Qualifications:
- A certified copy of a valid Grade 12 certificate with an aggregate of D or EIS (from 750 and above). The certificate should meet the minimum requirements for admission to a Diploma.
- Certified Grade 12 Mid-year results for scholars.
Compulsory subjects required on the certificate:
- English Level 4 and above/D symbol.
- Biology (Life Sciences) Level 4 and above/D symbol.
- Other science subjects (Physical Science, Mathematics/Maths Lit, Geography, Agricultural, Computer, Life Orientation) will be advantageous, as an Admission Point System (with minimum points of 24) will be used for candidate selection.
- Documentation:
- Certified copy of study leave or a letter from the supervisor indicating that study leave is being processed for serving officers.
- Certified copy of identity document.
- Certified copy of a marriage certificate if applicable.
- Application Fee:
- An original bank copy of a R50.00 deposit slip as proof of payment for the non-refundable application fee. Deposit this fee into the Lilitha College of Nursing account (details provided).
- Curriculum Vitae:
- Include reliable contact numbers and a clear physical address indicating your town/farm/village of origin as a catchment area.

- Send your complete application to the main/sub campus nearest to your place of residence. The campuses and their addresses are provided in the application details.
- Important Note:
- Faxed applications will not be processed.
- The course will commence on 01 February 2024.
- The closing date for applications is 14 days after the advert publication, excluding weekends (closing on 30 November 2023).
