Elias Motsoaledi Municipality: Bursaries 2024

Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality invites students to apply for Bursary Programme for 2024 academic year.

The Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality in Limpopo is offering two types of bursaries to students residing within the area:

1) Financial Study Assistance:

• Registration fee coverage up to a maximum value of R10,000.
• Applicable for studies in ANY field.

2) Mayor’s Bursary:

• Fields of study include Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Finance, Public Administration/Management, and Town Planning.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

To be considered for the bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Must be a South African citizen.
• Reside within the Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality in Limpopo.
• Completed Matric with a strong academic record.
• Intending to study within the listed fields in 2024.
• Accepted/provisionally accepted at a South African public institution of higher learning (University, University of Technology, or TVET College).
• Preference given to previously disadvantaged students and those in financial need.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

1. Download and complete the Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality Bursary Application Form 2024 (.doc)
2. Alternatively, collect application forms from the Main Office (2 Grobler Avenue, Groblersdal, 0470) or Satellite Offices.
3. Mention “StudentRoom.co.za” as the referral source on the application form.
4. Indicate the type of bursary you are applying for (full bursary or registration fee financial assistance).

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:

Submit clear copies of the following documents along with your completed application form:

• ID document (certified copy)
• Matric certificate (certified copy)
• Most recent statement of results/academic record (certified copy)
• Proof of acceptance/provisional acceptance from a tertiary institution (on institution’s letterhead)
• Proof of residence (endorsed by the Local Municipality)
• Parents or guardians proof of income (latest payslips if employed/affidavit if unemployed)
