Eskom: Occupational Health Nurse Internships 2024

Eskom invites unemployed graduates to apply for Occupational Health Nurse Internship Programme 2024.

Internship Application Closing Date: 15 May 2024

Internship Location: Rosherville/Emalahleni, South Africa

The graduates will provide a comprehensive Occupational health care service and Primary health services in alignment with organisational objectives, including objectives and targets from stakeholder ESKOM Health & Wellness

Minimum Requirements


•  B Cur Nursing Degree or B Degree Nursing

•  Registered with South African Nursing Council

•  Currently pursuing occupational health

Experience:  None 

Skills and Competencies

•  Computer Skills in MS Word, Excel

•  Good leadership Skills

•  Problem Solving/Conflict

•  Contract Management


•  Basic legislation and statutory requirements applicable in occupational healthcare:

•  OHS Act and health regulations.

•  COID Act

•  Healthcare related legislation

•  Labour related legislation.

•  Basic knowledge of all standards and codes of good practises applicable in occupational healthcare such as (but not limited to only) ISO, SANS, SASOHN, SANC


•  Comply with the Ethical Business Standards, Policies and Procedures (PSP) of the organisation and its stakeholders

•  Self-discipline in sourcing, implementing, and maintaining updated PSP and guidelines when applicable.

•  Self-discipline in ensuring professional development i.r.t. IDP

•  Self-discipline in participation, consultation, and contribution to BU strategy and/or strategic enablement

•  Stress tolerance

•  Promote teamwork and be a team player.

•  Empathy and understanding of people dynamics.

•  Assertiveness

•  Must be able to demonstrate Technical/Functional Expertise

•  Goal/Achievement Orientated

•  Creativity/innovation
