Gauteng Dept of Human Settlements: Bursaries 2021

Gauteng Department of Human Settlements invites applicants to apply for Bursary Programme for 2021 academic year.

Bursary Application closing date: 25 March 2021.

The Head of Department of the Gauteng Provincial Department of Human Settlements hereby invites admitted undergraduate students to apply for bursaries to undertake full-time studies in the 2021 academic year. The Department of Human Settlements is offering limited number of bursaries to full.time 1st year students pursuing under-graduate studies in the following fields:

  • Information and Communication Technology
  • Civil Engineering
  • Construction Management

BURSARY COVERS

Tuition and registration fees, student accommodation, prescribed books and/or study material for the 2021 academic year.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be South African citizens between the ages of 18 and 35, completed grade 12, applicants must reside in Gauteng, already registered or in possession of admission letter from an Institution of Higher Learning within Gauteng Province.

INSTRUCTIONS

Selection of successful candidates will be strictly based on academic merit. Applicants are expected to study at an accredited South African tertiary institution within Gauteng. It is the student’s responsibility to seek/obtain admission with a tertiary institution. The bursary is for undergraduate qualifications of no less than 360 NQF Credits. Successful candidates will be required to enter into a Bursary Contract. Applicants should not hold concurrent bursaries or financial study assistance from other organizations/institutions. Therefore, preference will be given to candidates from disadvantaged backgrounds — e.g. attended Township School, house hold Income of R3500 or less and so forth. late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Failure to provide any of the required documents in a manner that is prescribed will result in disqualification of the application and as such deemed non-responsive.

NOTES:

Applications must be in an envelope clearly marked APPLICATION FOR GDHS EXTERNAL BURSARY PROGRAMME 2021, indicate the field applying for. Preselected applicants will be required to provide parents’/guardians proof of income. Bursary application forms are available from: Reception Areas, Ground Floors in the following offices:
