ROLE PURPOSE
This opportunity is tailored for interns to apply their academic background and training in the workplace and gain valuable compliance management experience and business insights. This internship will equip candidates for an exciting career in compliance management and also ready candidates for other financial services roles. It offers interns the opportunity to work closely with and gain knowledge from specialists and experts from across the business.
REQUIREMENTS
- National Senior Certificate (Matric, Grade 12 or equivalent)
- Proficient in MicroSoft Office programs
- Must be unemployed, South African citizen
RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK OUTPUTS
- Assist Compliance with administrative duties
- Identify compliance risks and present findings and recommendations
- Support business to implement management actions
- Assist with the resolution and follow-up of compliance actions
- Keep abreast of regulatory and compliance management landscape (FAIS Fit & Proper Requirements)
- Assist, support and contribute to Compliance Management with comparative analysis of data residing on internal and external stakeholder systems and spreadsheets
- Effective implementation of policies and guidelines
- Analyse and clean up spreadsheets in line with legislative requirements and internal processes
- Tracking and monitoring of adherence to policies and processes
- Assist in compiling an accurate FAIS employees’ register
- Attend to any other responsibilities assigned such as minute taking report writing and other ad-hoc queries
