Midvaal Local Municipality is seeking 35 individuals for the position of EPWP (Expanded Public Works Programme) General Worker.
Closing Date: 19 December 2023 Salary: R140.85 per day (EPWP General Worker daily rate)
Contract Period: 01 December 2023 to 30 May 2024
About Midvaal Local Municipality: Midvaal Municipality is located within the Sedibeng District Municipality, Gauteng, South Africa. Situated between the Johannesburg, East Rand, Vaal, and Vereeniging areas, it plays a significant geographical role.
Duties and Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the EPWP General Worker include various tasks associated with waste disposal, litter control, general labour, and maintenance of public areas within the municipality. Some of the duties include litter collection, cleaning municipal buildings, refuse removal, and more.
Requirements:
- Basic Literacy or Grade 10 (Grade 12 is an advantage).
- Possession of a valid Driver’s License (an added advantage).
- Good physical health and the ability to perform physical work.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (bilingual preferred).
- Ability to follow instructions and execute tasks efficiently.
- 0 to 1 year of relevant experience in general work.
