The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) invites applications for Internship opportunities that currently exist at the MQA for 2017 / 2018 in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Applicants must be a South African citizen and under the age of 25 and unemployed. Successful Interns will be appointed for a period of Twenty Four (24) months. Succesful candidates will receive a monthly stipend during their placement.

Unemployed applicants who have never participated in an internship programme are invited to apply.The MQA is a Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) for the mining and minerals sector in terms of the Skills Development Act No. 97 of 1998. The successful candidate will be required to enter into a learning agreement. Please note that permanent employment after completion of the programme is not guaranteed
Requirements
- A post-matric qualification in the following is a prerequisite: in Human Resources with HR as a major/ core module
- National Diploma in Human Resources Management / Human Resources Development
- National Diploma / Degree in Social Science
- Commerce or Human Resources with Economics and/or Statistics
- National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Accounting / Project Management / Communications Management
Competencies:
- Attention to detail, teamwork and problem solving skills;
- Computer literacy and comfortable with MS Excel;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to analyse different data sources;
- Organisational, interpersonal communication and time management skills.
