About the Role:
The National Credit Regulator is seeking a motivated Junior Industry Analyst to join our team. This role involves conducting economic analysis of the consumer credit market, monitoring credit trends, and analyzing various credit products. If you have a passion for statistics, economics, or finance and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in analyzing statistics returns from credit providers, insurers, and debt counselors.
- Monitor trends in credit, consumption cycles, pricing, competition, and credit products.
- Analyze credit life insurance and asset insurance data.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders to gather and provide insights.
Required Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of the National Credit Act (NCA).
- Proficiency in statistics and economics.
- Ability to analyze financial statements.
- Knowledge of short and long-term insurance acts.
- Familiarity with various credit life and asset insurance policies.
- Knowledge of the personal insurance market.
Required Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong financial analysis and research skills.
- Effective organizational and relationship management abilities.
- Computer literate and detail-oriented.
