About the Apprenticeship
The Millwright Apprenticeship Programme runs over three years and includes both theoretical training (at an accredited learning centre) and practical application under the guidance of qualified artisans. This blended approach allows apprentices to develop into skilled Millwrights capable of operating in high-performance industrial environments.
You will be required to work weekends and public holidays, as well as overtime when necessary.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Essential (N2 with four subjects):
- Engineering Mathematics
- Engineering Science
- Mechanical and/or Electrical subjects
- Mechanical and Electrical Drawings
Advantageous:
- N3 Qualification
- Matric Certificate
- Previous relevant work experience
Candidate Profile
Applicants should:
- Have a curious mindset and strong problem-solving abilities
- Communicate effectively and work well in teams
- Be goal-driven, hands-on, and technically inclined
- Enjoy working with mechanical systems
- Have good hand-eye coordination and a sharp attention to detail
- Be analytical and proactive
Key Outputs
- Attend and pass all theoretical modules
- Apply skills during practical phases under supervision
- Work a 6-day week and be available for overtime
