The Competition Commission: Internships 2021

The Competition Commission invites unemployed graduates to apply Graduate / Internship Programme 2021.

Internship Application deadline is 24 January 2021

Internship Location: Pretoria, Gauteng

The Competition Commission has an exciting 24-month Cadet Training Programme.  This programme offers successful candidates with an opportunity of being trained in Competition Law and Analyses.  On successful completion of the programme, cadets may apply for opportunities within the Commission.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a South African Citizen.
  • A great team player with excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills.
  • No prior working experience in the same field.
  • A Good analytical , research and investigative skills as well as computer literacy.

The following Training opportunities are open for applications:

Cadets-level 1 Training Programme 2021

  • A completed Honours in Economics or Bachelor Laws Degree
  • A completed Master’s in Economics or Masters of Laws Degree will be considered as an advantage.

Cadets- Professionals Training Programme 2021

A completed Honours Degree in:

  • International Relations 
  • Communications
  • Finance 

Cadets-level 2  Training Programme 2021

  • A completed Masters in Economics Degree with at least 6-12 months research experience
  • Or a Bachelor of laws  Degree with admission


Employment Equity:

  • Over and above operational requirements, our appointment will take into account the country’s and organisational Employment Equity imperatives.

Application Process:

  • Shortlisted candidates may be required to undergo proficiency assessments.
  • The successful candidate will be vetted for security purposes.
  • The Competition Commission reserves the right not to fill this position.
