The Kuehne + Nagel Inzuzo Trust: Bursaries 2021

The Kuehne + Nagel Inzuzo Trust invites applicants to apply for Bursary Programme 2021.

Bursary Application Closing date is 28 February 2021

The Kuehne + Nagel Inzuzo Trust will be awarding bursaries to Black South African females, for studies within the following fields:

  • Accounting (BCom)
  • Financial Management (BCom)
  • Information Systems (BCom)
  • Transport Economics (BCom)
  • Logistics (BCom)
  • Logistics Management (Diploma)

The bursary will provide coverage for the following expenses: tuition fees, prescribed books and an allowance for accommodation. Bursary recipients will also be able to take part in vacation work during school holidays, to gain hands on working experience.

Once students have graduated, they will be required to work for Kuehne + Nagel – the work back period will be equal to the duration of funding received.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited to attend an interview (between March and April 2021), there will then be a final round interview or case study presentation (in April 2021) and thereafter final bursary announcements will be made (in April to May 2021). If you do not receive any feedback, please regard your application as unsuccessful.

Requirements

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • South African citizen
  • Black female
  • Completed Matric
  • Studying full time within one of the aforementioned fields of study
  • Entering your 2nd or later year of study in 2021 (1st year students will NOT be considered)
  • Studying at an accredited university in South Africa
  • Good academic record
  • Achieved a minimum overall average of 60% in your most recent year of study
  • Proven financial need
  • Strong leadership skills (engaged in school, university or community activities)
  • Students with disabilities are welcome to apply

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your completed application form (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application be disregarded):

  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Recent passport-sized photo
  • Matric certificate (certified copy)
  • Full tertiary academic record, from 1st year of tertiary studies (certified copy)
  • High School or University awards for academic/ leadership/ sport/ entrepreneurial achievements (certified copies)
  • Letter of reference from a high school teacher or university lecturer (signed and stamped)
  • Proof of acceptance/ provisional acceptance from your University
  • Financial statements or quote from University for cost of tuition, books, accommodation etc
  • Parents/ guardian’s proof of income (latest payslips/ sworn affidavit/ pension advice slip) (certified copies)
  • Parents/ guardian’s proof of residence
