Ubuhlebezwe Municipality: Bursaries 2024

Ubuhlebezwe Municipality invites eligible South African students to submit applications for the Bursary Programme for the academic year 2024.

Bursary application closing date is 31 January 2024

The Ubuhlebezwe Municipality offers bursaries to students residing within their municipal area in KwaZulu-Natal for various fields of study.

Fields of Study Covered:

  • Agriculture
  • Civil Engineering
  • Finance Management / Accounting Studies
  • Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
  • Town Planning

Expense Coverage: The bursary covers tuition fees, prescribed books, accommodation, and meals for eligible students.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • South African citizenship is mandatory.
  • Residency within the Ubuhlebezwe Municipal area in KwaZulu-Natal.
  • Current Matric students (in 2023) or those who have completed Matric.
  • Studying or intending to study one of the listed fields in 2024.
  • Enrolled or accepted at a recognized and accredited South African tertiary institution (University).
  • Preference is given to students pursuing studies in Municipal Priority Skills.

    • Submit clear copies of compulsory supporting documents along with the completed application form:
      • ID document or smart ID card (certified copy)
      • Matric Certificate (certified copy)
      • Proof of acceptance at a tertiary institution for the current academic year (on institution’s letterhead)
      • Institution’s fee structure and banking details (on institution’s letterhead)
      • Your personal contact details
