About the Scholarship Programme
UKZN is offering 9 postdoctoral research scholarships for qualified individuals interested in full-time research within the:
- School of Law
- School of Commerce
- Graduate School of Business and Leadership
Scholars will work under the supervision of academic staff on an approved research programme. Renewal is subject to a satisfactory progress report and publication in a DHET-accredited journal.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Hold a PhD obtained within the last 5 years in a relevant field
- Be under the age of 45 (Applicants aged 45–50 may be considered with motivation)
- Have at least one first-authored DHET-accredited publication within the last 3 years
- Preference will be given to applicants from previously disadvantaged groups

- Certified PhD certificate
