Valterra Platinum Engineering Learnerships 2025

Valterra Platinum invites South African unemployed youth to apply for the Engineering Learnership Programme 2025 (18.2 – Unemployed). This opportunity offers structured training and workplace exposure, enabling learners to obtain a nationally recognised Artisan qualification upon completion.

Available Learnership Opportunities

  • Learnership Electrician (x1)
  • Learnership Boilermaker Plater (x2)

Minimum Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following:

  • Matric/Grade 12 with:
    • Mathematics (not Maths Literacy) – minimum 40%
    • Physical Science – minimum 40%
    • English – minimum 40%

OR

  • N2 or higher with subjects relevant to the discipline:
    • Boilermaker Plater: Plating & Structural Steelwork, Welders Theory, Plating Structural & Steelwork Drawings
    • Electrical: Electrical Trade Theory, Electrotechnology/Electrotechnics, Industrial Electronics, or Engineering Drawings

OR

  • NCV Level 4 in the appropriate trade with all subjects passed (minimum 40%).

  • Certified copies of qualifications
  • Certified copy of South African ID
  • Proof of residence (for host community applicants – stamped by tribal office or municipality)
