Are you an emerging and aspiring Industrial Psychologist? Are you keen to learn in a high paced environment? If you are looking for an opportunity to get exposure in Industrial Psychology in a leading organisation in the financial services industry, this is for you. You will apply your knowledge of Industrial Psychology in an organisation with more than 16000 employees and 11 business units, working within a community of experienced Industrial Psychologists. You will have the opportunity to make a difference to the business while sharpening your skills, gaining practical experience and finding your feet as an aspiring Industrial Psychologist
ROLE PURPOSE
The purpose of the 12 month HPCSA aligned internship program is to provide IOP interns with an indepth understanding of the field of Industrial Psychology/Organisational Psychology through the practical application of theoretical knowledge and under the supervision and guidance of experienced Industrial Psychologists.
WHAT YOU’RE GOING TO DO
The internship programme covers 6 domains guided by the HPCSA requirements, and will allow exposure to the following areas:
- Career psychology and employee wellness
- Organisational psychology
- Human resource personnel psychology
- Testing and assessments
- Electives: Coaching and Ergonomics
- Professional ethics
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 1st year Master’s degree course work in Industrial Psychology completed
- Registered with the HPCSA as a student or intern psychologist
