Potatoes South Africa (PSA) invites South African students to apply for bursary funding for the 2026 academic year.

Bursary Location: South Africa (National – any accredited tertiary institution)
Fields of Study Covered
Bursaries will be awarded for full-time studies in the following areas:
Undergraduate:
- Agricultural Economics
- Agronomy
- Plant / Crop Production
- Soil Science
- Other agriculture-related fields relevant to the potato industry
Postgraduate:
- Honours, Masters, or PhD studies with a potato-related research topic
Programme Benefits
- Selected students will receive tuition support for the 2026 academic year
- Opportunities for internships and workplace experience programmes
- Upon graduation, bursary recipients will be required to work in the potato industry for a period equal to the bursary duration
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must have completed Matric
- Must be studying full-time in one of the approved agricultural fields
- Must be entering 2nd year or above of undergraduate/postgraduate studies in 2026
- Must be enrolled at a recognised and accredited South African tertiary institution
- Must have a strong academic record
Required Supporting Documents
You must upload clear copies of the following:
- Certified copy of ID document
- Certified copy of Matric certificate
- Certified copies of qualification certificates
- Latest academic transcript (on institution letterhead)
- Academic reports for all degrees/diplomas completed
- Admission letter for 2026 (on institution letterhead)
- Proof of household income (parent/guardian payslips, affidavit, or SASSA slip)
- For Masters/PhD: progress report or supervisor recommendation letter
- Any other relevant supporting documentation
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
