Madzivhandila College of Agriculture, in partnership with Letaba TVET College, is offering the 2025 AGRISETA-funded Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL) Programme. This opportunity allows individuals with a minimum of three years’ relevant work experience to gain a formal, nationally recognised artisan qualification in selected trades.

The programme is open to both employed and unemployed candidates residing within Limpopo Province. Successful applicants will undergo skills assessment, recognition of prior learning, and trade preparation over a three-month period.


Available Trades for the ARPL Programme

The programme is open for candidates with three years of substantial work experience in the following trades:

  • Plumbing
  • Bricklaying
  • Carpentry
  • Electricity
  • Motor Mechanics
  • Boilermaking
  • Welding

ARPL Admission Requirements

Applicants must meet the following:

  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in the trade they are applying for
  • Must complete a standardised ARPL application form (available from College or District Office)
  • Minimum age: 19 years
  • Must be a South African citizen residing in Limpopo Province
  • Must not have previously participated in a learnership, apprenticeship, or skills programme

The programme is open to applicants residing within the following Limpopo districts:

  • Waterberg
  • Vhembe
  • Capricorn
  • Mopani
  • Sekhukhune

  • A testimonial confirming work experience for the specific trade
