The Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme provides unemployed youth with an opportunity to gain practical workplace experience, develop employability skills, and build a foundation for long-term careers.
Eskom’s participation in the YES initiative supports national efforts to address youth unemployment while developing future talent for the energy sector.
Minimum requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- South African citizen
- Aged 18 to 34 years
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
- and/or post-matric certificate/programme
- and/or N3 Electrical Engineering
Selection criteria
Applicants must also meet the following criteria:
- Must not have been permanently employed with a single employer for more than 12 months
- Must not be studying full-time during the year of employment
- Must not have previously participated in or registered on the YES initiative
- Willing to undergo Eskom’s recruitment and selection process
