Arup Education Trust: Bursaries 2024

The Arup Education Trust invites South African students to apply for Bursary Programme 2024

Bursary Application Closing date is 31 December 2023

The Arup Education Trust is offering bursaries for the 2024 academic year to support students pursuing Built Environment degree qualifications. The fields covered by the bursary include Architecture, Construction Studies, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, and Town Planning.

Bursary Overview: The programme aims to assist academically strong students who lack financial resources in pursuing their studies in the Built Environment field.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for the Arup Bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • South African citizenship
  • Belonging to a designated group as per South Africa’s B-BBEE codes (Black African, Coloured, Indian/Asian, disabled)
  • Completion of Matric
  • Pursuing a degree in the Built Environment field (First-year students are welcome)
  • Studying at a recognized and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
  • Strong academic record
  • Total combined household income of LESS than R30,000 per month

Ensure submission of clear copies of required supporting documents:

  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Matric certificate (certified copy)
  • Full university academic record/transcripts (on institution’s letterhead)
  • Most recent university tuition statement from the institution (on letterhead)
  • Proof of parents or guardians’ household income (latest payslips if employed, affidavit if unemployed, SASSA grant slip if applicable)

Supporting documents must be in PDF format and not exceed 2MB each.

Closing Date: December 31, 2023. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
