Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security & Liason is offering Learnerships programme (Basic Traffic Officers Diploma) for the financial year 2016 / 2017 in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. The Departement of Community Safety, Security and Liason invites applications for a Traffic Officers Diploma Learnership which seeks to capacitate 100 unemployed youth with knowledge of and skills in Traffic Law enforcement.

Learnership Location: Nelspruit, Mpumalanga

Basic Traffic Officers Diploma – REF. DCSSL/TM/LP2016)

Preference will be given to persons from previously disadvantaged communities and unemployed youth in the Mpumalanga Province, who meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum educational qualification of Grade 12
  • At least a valid Code B driver’s licence
  • Under 35 years of age
  • A certificate from the South African Police Service indicating that the applicant does not have a criminal record.

NB: The traffic training will be conducted at the newly established Mpumalanga Traffic Training College at Mkhuhlu (Calcuta) in the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality. people living with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates will be expected to enter into a 12-month contract with the Department and, on completion, learners will receive a diploma in Basic Traffic Officers: NQF 4.
