An external municipal bursary awarded, to develop students with potential within the Municipal area from the historically disadvantaged societal groups and/or individuals with disabilities to succeed in tertiary education.

Requirements
- Bursaries will be awarded to students from the historically disadvantaged societal groups, but also to those who are above the poverty line and still cannot afford the tertiary education fees
- The indigent status of the parents/guardians of the applicant must be confirmed by the local municipality in which the applicant is residing and must include:
- Home economic situation
- Parents’ employment profile (NB: proof of payment)
- Number of school-going siblings (confirmation from their respective schools)
