The Office of Health Standards Compliance (OHSC) invites unemployed graduates to apply for Internship Programme 2022.

Intern – Website Support Engineer (Ref #: OHSC 5/2022)
Salary: Stipend: R 6 174, 96 per month. Internship Period: 12 Months (Candidates who previously participated in an Internship programme are also welcome to apply).
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree or three-year National Diploma in IT, Specialising in Software Development and Software Engineering.
Technical Requirements: PHP Developer , Laravel , Vue.JS , SQL – Proficiency in SQL querying (Required).
Must possess an understanding of integrating with 3rd party APIs and their architecture (REST, GraphQL, SOAP, oAuth).
Other technologies we use: CSS, SASS, AWS, Git.
Must be a WordPress skilled and capable of developing custom web applications using PHP, MySQL, and suitable technologies.
Must be proficient in both HTML5 and CSS3, PHP Website Development Certification.
An understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.
Portfolio of relevant work showcase your skills (would be an added advantage).
Duties:
Support and maintain existing websites and Intranet.
Ensure that data on websites and Intranet are updated on regular basis.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve website issues in an accurate and timely manner.
Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
Assist with designing, editing, development and maintaining OHSC & OHO websites & OHSC Intranet.
Troubleshoot site issues quickly and effectively ensuring uptime of websites.
Liaise with the Communications unit to ensure the content and organization of websites meet company needs.
Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools.
Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
Create and maintain software documentation.
Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site and keep abreast with emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into OHSC operations and activities.
